“I am Superman- and I am undocumented.”
To the shock of the world, we’ve learned that after more than seven decades of saving hard-working Americans, one of our most beloved superheroes, Superman, is an undocumented immigrant.

Video – UCLA DREAM Act students on CNN

Great to see our friends on Anderson Cooper 360!

We are kind of disappointed about the self-hating, anti-immigrant advocate that CNN managed to conjure up to speak against the DREAM Act. Besides the fact that her words were empty and warrantless, the Southern Poverty Law Center profile on Lupe Moreno shows her even more wacky ideas:

Lupe Moreno, an evangelical Christian who believes that homosexuals have been taken over by evil spirits and that body-piercing can turn people gay, has been fighting illegal immigration for nearly 12 years. Today, as president of Latino Americans for Immigration Reform, she advocates a military presence on the border and warns that any groups that don’t agree “should be dealt with severely as entities promoting crime, terrorism, and instability against this nation and its citizens.”

Well, we all know who the real nightmare is.

Lupe was perfect for this story, her irrationality does nothing but help us!! Wow, could not have come together any better!!

    Fievel for the DREAM Act!

  • Jose says:

Impressive! Great story. Lupe definitely exemplifies how irrational the opposition is. Thanks dreamactivist for posting!

    • BorderRaven says:

You seriously under estimate the opposition to the DREAM Act. Your immaturity sends you out to battle for something detrimental to a sovereign USA. Fortunately, most of those of us wise enough to see the negative implications, won't be the people who suffer greatly, if it becomes a reality. Bye, Bye, Miss American Pie. Keep chipping away the Constitution and the USA, will cease to exist.

Hey guys, as a "fat bitch" who supports the cause, maybe we could try to direct our animosity someplace more appropriate than this crazy lady's physical appearance. eh?

  • Damian says:

A nightmare for our kids, ha ha, what the tell do you care if innocent young people go and get an education. Typical racist american, Just as I imagined a fat ass, you know what I think you broke the law for being soo huge, how much money are you going to cost tax payers. The DREAM act is NOT a give away. They will HAVE to earn their status.

    • BorderRaven says:

Look up the word "nationalist". Lupe is not a racist, she is a US national, defending the USA. You are a looser and immature by fixating on outward appearances. What do you aspire to be in maturity?

I just found out about the Dream Act and this website. I have felt so alone with my situation until now. It is kind of a bitter sweet feeling actually. It is bitter because the harsh reality is that these situations exist and sweet because there is a support system and a resolution just within our grasp. The experience and positivity of the website has me so ELATED right now you would think the law was passed in my favor. However, I just watched the CNN video clip and saw the response of the woman who opposes the Dream Act. It was a little perturbing (not enough to get me down) but I am aware that people are entitled to their opinions and will disagree. What was also disturbing though is some of the comments above. I wear no gown and have no gavel and as afformentioned know that people are entitled to their opinions but the negativity…and profanity made me do a double take. I just didn't think this was the image some Dreamies would portray. I am not trying to offend anyone but I believe there are tasteful ways to display opposition. Lets not attempt to extinguish fire with fire <3:)

    • Prerna says:

Thanks for sharing your story. Dreamies are free to portray whatever image they want to – this is not zone for 'policing' individuality and trying to pretend that we are better than the average American teenager. Some of us might be, most are not. We live in a culture that loves to make fun of those deemed 'over-weight'; however, inappropriate that might be, the responses show acculturation.

      • Dreamie says:

I agree with you on that 100% Dreamies should be and are free to portray whatever image they want. It seems though that the positive images are the ones that are on display here. Did you see the students in the video, one could infer that they are trying display that the Dream Act should be passed for these and many other people because they are well-rounded sensible, and deserving individuals… Pretty sure they won't have any profanity slinging, foul-mouth undocumented students on CNN REGARDLESS of their academic achievements. Hate to break it to you but when people don't know you personally all they have to go by is the impression that you give and thats just how it is. Your statement holds no value because it screams contradiction.

        • Dreamie says:

Living in a culture where most people love to make fun of those deemed overweight is not individuality. It's just another excuse for people to act and speak inappropriately and then use the follow the leader excuse "well everybody or mostly everybody does it, because its the culture". I don't know what's worse, the people that act inappropriately and don't care or the people who attempt not to act/speak inappropriately but support others that do.

  • Diana G Gutierrez says:

NANCY como Mexico Americana tienes todo mi apoyo. Eres un ejemplo a seguir, y cualquier pais, raza, o nacionalidad estaqria orgulloso de tener a ejemplos como tu. En hora buena y hecale ganas!
As a Mexican American I totally support the dream act. I think that if they put in the time and effort their talents and skills would be a much needed change to our society. Which is built on diversity and our differences. In reference to Nancy's sitaqtion, I believe she should at least be given the opportunity to acquire a student visa while the dream act hopefully passes. She is a universal example to follow that any country, race, or nationality would be proud to have as their citizen.
As far as Lupe Moreno is concerned, I think that people should pay closer attention to the stand she is taking versus her physical appearance. Yes she is as big as a house, and I bet her favorite dish are enchiladas. But what do I know, I am just a proud MEXICAN!

  • Diana G Gutierrez says:

I also strongly believe that Lupe got lucky at the time that she applied for her adjustment of status. I don't know her age, but I know that the immigration laws were much more lenient back then versus now. If she would not have been so lucky back then, more than likely she would be worse off than Nancy, without an education and to top it off, stuck cleaning hotel rooms or behind the kitchen of a MEXICAN restaurant. She is a disgrace to my culture, and SHE definitely is the nightmare. Mexicans have always been known for their hospitality and compassion, Lupe Moreno obviously lacks all these qualities. She does belong here, in a country where culture is nonexistent and White supremacy rules, but she lacks two things: A name and the color of her skin. Lupe should worry about getting an education herself instead of bashing her own race. IGNORANT is the perfect way to describe Lupe in one word.

Those of you who are angry, your anger is totally misdirected. Your parents are criminals and have no remorse or shame for imposing their criminal alien lifestyle upon you. I have read the DREAMAct forum and many of you seem to have no problem admitting the crime spree that you go on daily in order to remain in America legally.

You are NOT worthy of American citizenship. You should be jailed for all of the episodes of driving without a license, drunk driving, lying, cheating stealing, etc. Deportation is all that any of you deserve.

  • Dreamie says:

The responses don't show acculturation, they show poor judgment and immaturity to say the least. It shows the vicious cycle of negativity that makes the world such a hard place to live in and that my fellow dreamie has a trickling effect. Its part of the reason why immigration is so difficult now and why they are "POLICING" the borders so heavily because of the fear of having to deal with the migrating problems on top of the natural born ones (LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE). The first step to a solution, is recognizing there is a problem. I don't think anybody should waste their energy trying to pretend to be better than anybody else they should put that energy into just being better people overall that way it won't be such a long tedious immigration process and there'll be less Beverlies and Lupes barking up our tree (What's a Beverly you ask, read two comments down). I strongly believe in picking and choosing battles.

    • Dreamie says:

I don't want to risk losing the PASS THE DREAM ACT WAR to win the right to express individuality BATTLE. If the people that made the comments are teenagers, and you are one yourself, don't take this as an attempt to impose my views upon you or the others, take it as an attempt to share with you wisdom that is acquired over years. There are many teenage dreamies but there are also many dreamies that are in their Mid-twenties and older who so desperately want to start living life (the biological clock is ticking). This is a wonderful site and I hope that everybody that knows about and supports the dream act visits it, I also hope that those who have a hand in deciding if the law is passed visits it.

      • Dreamie says:

The fact of the matter is you don't know who comes here and if you have a hand in what is on this website I hope that you would do what is in the best interest of all dreamies and censor some of the things that is on here. This is so much more important than being able to say "fat bitch that and fat bitch that". No matter where you are born, you learn at a young age, the difference between right and wrong. People should strive to lead with their best foot and hopefully their not so good foot will follow because this is a serious situation.
