a) Instate Tuition: No, currently there is no law which would allow for undocumented students to pay in-state tuition rates in this state.
b) Drivers License: No, Due to the passage of Bill 69 you must provide proof of legal status within the United States in order to obtain a drivers license.

· The 2007 / Â2008 biennial budget bill (2007 Senate Bill 40) would allow for undocumented children to attend technical college without having to pay out of state tuition. The requirements to qualify for this are similar to those in many other states, namely that you have graduated from a WI high school.
· 2007 AsÂsembly Bill 101 would punish employers that hire illegal immigrants. This legislation was also proposed in 2005, it was referred to the Assembly CommitÂtee on Labor, where it died.
· 2005 Senate Bill 567 (now a part of 2007 Senate Bill 40) would require documentary proof of citizenship from any person applying for public assisÂtance from the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services or the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. Public assistance includes low income serÂvices such as Wisconsin Works income assisÂtance, medical assistance, and food stamps.
