Do you know a DREAMer who was deported before this new DACA program was announced?

My friend Fredi is one; he was deported in 2008 on his prom night for driving without a license. Of course he crossed back, I mean he did live in Georgia for most of his life so what choice did he have? Well just a month ago Fredi was pulled over and found to be without a license. The process started all over again and he was sent to a detention center, however this Friday we managed to get him released and he is now home for the holidays!

And the even better news is that Fredi is not alone; earlier this week we were able to secure the release of another previously deported DREAMer, Jesus from California!

So back to my question, do you know of a DREAMer who was deported before DACA was announced? If so reply here and let’s find a way to help them too!

In addition to finding more stories of previously deported DREAMers we’re also trying to convince legislators that this is the right thing to do. Take the poll: Should Senator Durbin help once deported DREAMers, Yes or No?

Our goal is to get at least 1,000 responses to this poll so we know what you all really want us to do. Please share it with a friend or two, now that most dreamers have a way of getting safe let’s make sure we can extend that to those who were deported before this went into effect!
