[URGENT] Mejia Family Deportation – November 2nd!

TAKE ACTION — UPDATED 11.1.09

We have less than a two days to stop the forceful and permanent separation of an American family.

Gilbert’s family is being deported soon, take a second to do the following things:

1. Call Secretary of DHS Janet Napolitano at (202) 282-8000 and urge her to grant deferred action to the Mejia-Perez family.

2. Call Assistant Secretary of DHS John Morton at (202) 732-3000 and urge him to grant deferred action to the Mejia-Perez family.

3. Call CIS Director Alejandro Mayorkas at (202) 272-1000 and urge him to grant deferred action to the Mejia-Perez family.

4. Sign the petition: http://immigration.change.org/actions/view/stop_deportation_of_the_mejia-perez_family

5. Join the facebook page for immediate updates: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=174019260906&ref=ts

6. TELL 5 FRIENDS TO DO THE ABOVE!

“Hi, I was calling to ask that the Senator introduce a private bill for the Mejia-Perez family. They are a mixed-status family, composed of a DREAM Act student, two US Citizen children, and hard working, undocumented parents, who left their home country out of fear for their lives. They contribute to their community in every way possible and California is their home.”

It is VERY important that we get calls right now as the family WILL be deported on Tuesday.

We need more people signing the petition and making calls to Senator's Feinstein Office, please distribute to all of your friends and allies, we have done it in the past and we can make it happen again!!!

  • Yeimi

Hi I am a student at Sacramento State. I tried calling CIS Director Alejandro Mayorkas at (210) 272-1000 and the automated operator says the numbers has been disconnected or temporarily out of service just a heads up.

Thanks Yeimi. Also being that it is a weekend they are a little bit more sketchy. If it is not working tomorrow we will find a new number, keep the calls coming though. . . they are working!
