So this whole idea of coming out undocumented as a community officially launched last Wednesday, and I’m sure you’re wondering how things are going so far. Undocumented youth all over this country will finally come out the shadows and lay claim to their own futures. No longer will we let ourselves be intimidated, scared and ashamed. We have worked long and hard, we have risen to meet every challenge and we have made this country a better place for all. And yet, we are relegated to live in fear. So let us come out and end this fear.
Really incredible. I really don't understand how anyone can be against the Dream Act.
Seriously, there are so many similar stories out there, i would know, i am one of them, and all we are asking for is a chance to serve and contribute to this country, we have learned to love, and get a shot at our dreams like most of our friends. And due to the choices of our parents we are now between a rock and a hard place and can't do anything about it. So Please support the Dream Act.
Such determined and bright individuals deserve a chance. Just one chance..
Please do also spare a thought for E2 kids who also need to be embraced by this legislation.The small foreign E2 business owner is repeatedly over-looked despite the fact that an estimated 1 million americans work in those businesses. Sadly the children of E2 business owners just like their undocumented counterparts grow up both culturally and educationally as americans yet have no automatic right to stay in the U.S.
You are right. The E-2 kids should qualify if they fall out of status and meet all other requirements. Sadly, no one will amend the DREAM Act to be comprehensive and targeted towards our legal counterparts. There is always the PROUD Act.
