The DREAM Act on NBC Nightly News
As part of their We The People series, NBC highlighted the story of Noe Guzman, who discovered his undocumented status when he tried to enroll in the U.S. military, where he hoped to start his journey towards becoming a doctor. DreamActivist previously featured Noe back in May.
Some things to note in this one:
1. Noe Guzman is so cool he wears an UnderArmour sleeve to play ball.
2. A 49ers sweater! That’s pretty American if you ask me!
3. Half of me hides from the camera (Editor’s note: for once!) at the 0:59 mark, when the footage from our National Dream Graduation begins.
4. Virginia-based DreamActivist regional rep Isabel teams with the cowboy-hat-wearing Texas delegation at the 1:07 mark.
5. The pro-DREAM crowd brings a new voice to the debate, College Board president Gaston Caperton, talking about the importance of investing in Dreamers’ education.
6. The anti-DREAM crowd brings an old voice to the table, CIS’ Steven Camarota, with proven muddling terms “illegal aliens” and “taxpayers’ cost”. Again, Camarota’s employer and their true motives: here.
Pass the DREAM Act.
