We just got a call from the Broward Detention Center and we urgently need your help. Paulino Sepulveda was detained in Puerto Rico in September while he was serving as a guide for someone else. He wasn’t even driving. Paulino just called to say that he was told he will be deported today.
This case gets even crazier. While detained Paulino’s oldest step-son committed suicide and Paulino was not allowed to be with his family to mourn. Since, his health has greatly suffered; he’s lost a lot of weight and he’s now developed a kidney infection. He just told us that his pain, on a scale of 1-10, is normally around a 7. No human being should be treated this way.
Now the part we are really upset about. Over a month ago we got in touch with Rep. Gutierrez’s office about this case; they promised us they’d look into it but it seems like they too have dropped the ball. Now their office is gonna close in less than an hour and time is running out for Paulino; can you make a call and demand action?
Take Action: Make A Call and Demand Rep. Gutierrez Stop Paulino’s Deportation!

Call Gutierrez’s Cicero office @ (708) 652-5180
“Hi, I was calling to ask that Rep. Gutierrez immediately take action to have Paulino’s (A#205-159-674) deportation stopped. His office was told about this case over a month ago and now Paulino is about to be deported. Paulino was detained in Puerto Rico as a passenger in a car. While detained Paulino’s oldest step-son committed suicide. Is the Congressman going to let Paulino get deported?”
Rep. Lofgren from California has told us that their office has addressed all of these medical conditions at Broward with ICE but it seems like nothing has changed. After you call Gutierrez please direct your calls to Lofgren’s office. We need Paulino’s deportation to be stopped.
Call Rep. Lofgren San Jose office @ (408) 271-8700
“Hi, I was calling to ask that Rep. Gutierrez immediately take action to have Paulino’s (A#205-159-674) deportation stopped. While detained Paulino has developed a kidney infection that has not been treated. His pain is a 7 out of 10. Why is this man being tortured in detention?”
Thank you for taking action, the Congressman’s offices close real soon so this is urgent.
