Change.org – We did it!

We have officially gained the status of “Top 10 Ideas for Change” in America from Change.org

CONGRATULATIONS and a big THANK YOU to everyone who voted, everyone who lent their support and endorsements and propelled this idea to the top. Alvarez from Chronicles of a Nomad Immigrant, Porter Corn from Mexico Trucker, Margarita Reyes and Andrea Ortega for lending An Unfinished DREAM video to the movement, the DREAM Act Portal, Liz Mateo from Dreams to be Heard, Greissa from Texas, Jon Pincus for his support and strategy-sharing tips, Nilav Bhadra and the students pushing this on Myspace and their own social networks, and of course the famed Underground Undergrads without whom this would not have been possible.

I want to congratulate and thank everyone that made this possible. I feel honored to be called a DREAM Act student and to be part of this struggle.

"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give"- Winston Churchill

Although the doors to go to college and be "somebody" have been closed we have never given up. Every year thousands of students have come together to fight for this just cause…every year our numbers grow….every year we come closer to bringing justice for our lives…
We have worked hard giving all we have…we have poured out our hearts.
We have made a life of what has be given to us and a day not to far from now we are going to proclaim victory.

Thank you to those that stand next to us in solidarity and made this happen!

    Love will prevail!
    Gaby

I agree with Gaby! We did it! I am also a proud dreamie and I feel very positive about the passage of the Dream Act. This will be our year!

Just an FYI…I tried voting on the change.gov website but I couldn't find a post comment option. If anyone can help with this it would be great. I also noted there are more than one sections for the dream act. I think there should only be one so that the votes are not scattered everywhere and we can get our numbers higher and make the top ideas. Just a thought.

Thanks sooo much to all of those who helped this cause.

    Nancy!
