How about the parents take responsiblity for the education of their children for a change? You know all of these "dreamers" have every right and opportunity to pursue a college education and scholarships, grants, loans in their home countries and in most cases for a lot less money than it costs in the U.S. Mexico's National Autonomous University and it's world-class facilities are FREE to Mexican nationals, tuition in Guatemala's state universities cost about $115 a semester or so, tuition at the University of Manila is $7.00 a credit hour. These students are acting like petulant spoiled kids....you have the ability to go to college in your native lands for a fraction of what it costs in the U.S. ...yet you are demanding legalization, admissions, and tuition aid as well. Sorry but there are 25 million unemployed Americans and their families who struggle to work, pay taxes and save for their children's education ...and it's completely unreasonable and unfair to have millions of illegal aliens and their families compete for limited needs-based financial aid if the Dream Act is passed. That would be a nightmare for American students and their families.

I applaud The Esperanza Education Fund for extending support to the undocumented students. As parents, we lamented the lack of support for these students, and struggled to put our children through college on our own with no available help at the time. Now that my children have graduated despite the lack of help, it frustrates us that they can not put their education to good use. They are even willing to go with unpaid internships, but even these are scarce. When will the government act to put all these talents to good use by giving these kids a shot at the American Dream? Please pass CIR! Please pass the Dream ACT.
