A DREAM In Every District — Oct. 22nd and 23rd
October 11, 2009 in News Article by United We Dream Network
Two years ago this month the DREAM act came failed to garner the 60 votes needed to be filibuster proof. Now on the two year anniversary of that vote we are calling on advocates around the country to schedule visits with their members, urging them to co-sponsor the Dream Act.
Below are resources for this, we ask that you also register your visit so that we can follow-up and add your data to our master list.

Dear Senator Issacson,
I am writing in support of the bipartison DREAM Act. I agree with United Negro College Fund motto, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste." For this reason it is important that the youth in our nation, whose parents chose to bring them here when they were minors, deserve to be educated contributors to our country. They should be encouraged to go as far as possible and be the best they can be (the Army motto) for the betterment of self and nation.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jennifer A. Lund
Dear Senators Webb and Warner,
I am writing to ask your support for the Dream Act on behalf of our immigrant youth whose parents brought them to our country as minors, who seek to contribute to our country and our communities as valuable and responsible law abiding citizens and to pursue their education here to do so. I believe the ideals and values on which our nation was founded were to offer freedom and opportunity to the disenfranchised, to uphold the inalienable human rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to those who seek refuge here.
Sincerely,
David Kreider
