6 days from today, thousands of people will participate in the National Back to School DREAM Act Day of Action. They will stand up for immigrant rights, access to higher education, and the values of the DREAM Act. They will tell the rest of the country that the clearest proof that the immigration system is broken and needs to be addressed immediately is the fact that students like Herta and Alonso are still facing deportation. They will renew their hopes that this time the DREAM Act will not come up short, but that justice will prevail and they can finally be accepted as members of society.
