Stanford President John Hennessy Submits His Letters of Support for the DREAM Act
June 11, 2009 in News Article, Student Activism by Administrator
Over the years, I have supported broad-based immigration reform that balances our national security concerns with policies that embody opportunity and fairness and strengthen our country’s science and technology base. It is in that context that I voice my strong support for the DREAM Act. If I can be of help as you work to move this important legislation forward, please do not hesitate to contact me.

On the hills of Harvard Act on a DREAM, the Stanford Immigrant Rights Project formed a coalition of supporters and approached the University President, John Hennessy, to draft up his letters of support for the DREAM Act. He followed through on his promise within 2 business days sending letters of endorsements to Senator Barbara Boxer, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Representative Lofgren who is the Chairperson of the House Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security, and International Law and House Representative Anna Eschoo.
The letters are here.
