Dont be so negative bob...I think it has a better chance then the other years. The dream act has been endorsed by soooo many organazations and people that its really surprising. Hopefully senate votes will turn around. I believe we need only 7 more. Keep the faith. Well get it soon Bob...

My son and daughter-in-law, Anya thought they were doing everything right. They got college degrees, married, work long hours, pay taxes, and stay out of trouble. They were overjoyed to learn that they are expecting a baby in September. Suddenly, Anya is being deported to the Ukraine because she came to the US ten years ago as a child with her mother, and her mother overstayed her visa. Now they must quit their jobs, lose their much needed health insurance (my son has a chronic disease and needs surgery soon), sell all their belongings, and move to a country that neither of them know. Because of the actions of her mother, Anya is being severely and cruelly punished. This is also devasting to many other friends and family members. When they asked Immigration to postpone the deportation so that the baby could be born here where they would have health insurance and decent hospitals, they were told "There is no way that we are going to allow that to happen". These two wonderful, kind-hearted, young people have done absolutely nothing to be treated this way by our government. Something must be done to change this horrible, unjust law.

I JUST WANT SOMEONE TO REALIZE THE WASTE OF TALENT THAT GOES ON AND WILL CONTINUE IF THE DREAM ACT DOES NOT GET PASSED FOR THESE HARD WORKING STUDENTS. SHOULD THEIR LIVES BE AT HOLD AND NOT BE ALLOWED TO DRIVE OR ATTEND COLLEGE BECAUSE OF THE SIMPLE FACT THAT THEY WERE BORN SOMEWHERE OUT OF THEIR CONTROL ???

Chain migration is a myth. Beneficiaries won't be able to sponsor their family members if they are in the USA illegally, anyway, for another 10 years. 'Annual caps' is also a ridiculous idea especially when no more than 500,000 would be eligible for this one-time deal, and every single study done on state in-state tuition and allowing undocumented students to attend colleges shows that attendance is grossly over-estimated and the effects are not significant.

This bill needs annual numerical "caps". Beneficiaries can not be allowed to sponsor their family members.
